Is the Quran same as Bible?

The Quran, the central religious text of Islam, contains references to more than fifty people and events also found in the Bible. While the stories told in each book are generally comparable, there are also some notable differences.

Does the Qur’an contradict the old and New Testament?

The Old Testament, for example, teaches that Abraham was called upon to sacrifice his son Isaac. But, the Qur’an teaches that it was Ishmael that Abraham almost killed (see Sura 37:100-112). The New Testament teaches that Jesus died on the cross and rose again. But, the Qur’an repudiates this teaching (Sura 4:157-159).
